I don't have 1404 but I have the other 2 in the series. You can slow it down
to what is comfortable.
I guess you can say I'm a fan, but I'm tired of the same old bullshit of
build army and kill everybody.
Oh, you can also make it go very fast :)

I presume the RTS stands for 'real time strategy'?

The only real-time strategy game I ever got into was the Populous
series. I prefer time to peruse my options.

Yes- sorry, thought it was a well known acronym.

Me too. Tried Age of Empires, Railroad Tycoon, SimCity and one or two
others, but find the fact that the little blighters charge around
without my say-so quite unappealing. Maybe I'm just a control freak.

I forgot about RT & SC - I guess they qualify as RTS's I like, too.

The same here, though I enjoyed the Caesar series.

From the link, I read it was published by Bluebyte Softeware. I played
a game some years ago - the name escapes me - and it involve
futuristic tanks and other futuristic weapon systems published by that
company. It was excellent. That is enough of a motivator to buy the
game except I still haven't learned all I can about CIV. - redvet
