The closest I have seen is a Third Party drum from Pelican (seen at a
Frys).$25 US. Has a larger drum surface. I have not seen any reviews on
them to say if they are as good as the Nintendo ones.

I've tried them (at Frys). I hated them because their top surface has no
give to it, but at that point I was already used to Nintendo's drums. They
seemed to work fine. Some people might like that hard surface better.
