How many discs will Resident Evil 4 have?

I'd bet the farm on two. That's what Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero
used, and I doubt the sequel would be smaller.

It actually could be, being that RE and RE0 both used pre-rendered
backgrounds which take up a lot more disc real estate.

That said, it'll probably still be at least two discs if for no other
reason than to keep the compression on the movie sequences at a decent
bitrate.

Movie sequences in RE:4 are done in real time. And so, there is no need
to compress the movies.
