We're all familiar with Mario, Zelda, SSBM, etc., but what are some of
the lesser-known classics, like Body Harvest and Rocket were for N64?

US Games

Cubivore (Atlus USA) - Evolve or perish - Good luck finding a copy
Ikaruga (Treasure) - Old School Shooting at it's finest
P.N. 03 (Capcom) - New School Shooter with old school feel

Imports from Japan (first three are NES games remade with 3D graphics,
but with 2D game play)

Takahashi-Meijin no Boukenjima (Adventure Island)
PC Genjin (Bonk)
Star Soldier (Star Soldier)

Doshin the Giant (update/remake of N64 game)

Shikigami no Shiro II (a sequal - but new)

If a videogame doesn't cause frustration, then it's probably not a very
good game.

Sugar!  I didn't know you could get PC Kid on Gamecube! Awesome!  I'll
be buying a copy of that for sure, even if it is in Japanese.

Eternal Darkness, even I was guilty of passing over this game until I
borrowed it from a friend six months ago.

I don't generally like scary games.  I still can't work up the nerve to
play System Shock 2 again.  That game knew how to scare, not with
"gotcha" moments like Doom but with genuine, growing loneliness.

Maybe I didn't get far enough into SS2, but it didn't seem scary to me. It
didn't even seem like the type of game that *would* be scary, but I hear
that it is from many people.

If you're looking for things that jump out and go "boo!" then you won't
be scared.  If you can appreciate the scary atmosphere in things like
H.P. Lovecraft stories then you will be scared by SS2.
