I've tried DeepShark and Gamerang.  Both are lame.  Can
anyone recommend a better one in the US?

Gamefly.com? Its the best one I've found (and I've tried a half dozen.)

An actual conversation I had in 1983(?)
Me: I don't like dogs, they smell bad.  I like cats.
Him: What about a litter box?  That smells bad.
Me:  Yeah, but a litter box doesn't run up to you and want you to pet it.

Actually, I did try them.  They're on the West Coast and I'm on the
East Coast.  Bah!  Right now, I'm trying GPlay, but the waiting list is
ridiculous, even for crappy games.  The only game I can rent in my
queue is the Hobbit.  Whoopee........

You could try Angelgamer.  They're based in Texas.

This is great, I have enough free trails for about 3 months of gaming.

I gave Gameznflix.com a try- 3 games and or movies for 18.50/month.  The
selection was pretty good, but the selections took a week to get to me and a
week to get back.  So I'm sticking with Gamefly.

I just started a thread on this subject in the ps2 group yesterday...

I've used gamefly.com for about 6 months but the wait times are at least one
and a half weeks now from when I send the game (at 6:30AM, before the post
office opens) til when I get the next game.  A couple of times it has been
two weeks.  I'm only in Denver, and they are in California, so I don't know
why it should take this long.  So I am cancelling gamefly and starting
triggerfingers.com this week.

If you don't mind the wait, Gamefly is awesome.  They always have every game
I have wanted and I have only had one game with a wait time in 6 months.  If
they could get their turnaround time better, I'd be a customer for life.

Is anybody aware of any similar rental services in the UK?

I would give triggerfingers.com a try.  They have great pricing, a pretty
good selection, and excellent customer service.  I have not had one single
game not work (due to scratches, etc.), unlike my experience with GPlay (all
three games would not work).  They are in Colorado, so ship times should be
faster for you.  It takes 2-3 days to get a game for us in Arizona.

Also, I have had several games at the top of my queue that were listed as
"long wait" but they sent them to me really quickly.  So no problem there.
I pay $24.95 a month for a four game plan.

Try them out, see if you like them.  They have a three week trial period,
too.  They also recently added the ability to put soon to be released games
in your queue, which I know is something they were lacking before.

Thanks.  I'm trying GPlay now and if they suck, I'll move on.
