Nintendo JUST showed a Mature Zelda. Link riding on Epona, kicking
a.s. it looked Like TOOT but on Gamecube. Then, Miyamoto came out,
with sword and sheild in hand, dressed up a little. I kid you not.
no links, but you will see it soon enough.

If they can deliver something like OoT looking like that they'll shift a
shitload of consoles. OK cel-shading was an interesting experiment but WW
just can't compare to the joy that was OoT. Still, there's no guarantee this
one will either... we can hope...

Honestly, I'm enjoying WW way more than I enjoyed OoT. I hope they don't
abandon the cel concept entirely when it comes to Zelda.

I enjoyed both for their respective strengths. Also, having played
XIII shows me that the cel shading technique can be used in a more
mature storyline without destroying the atmosphere. Maybe they'll
combine the best of both worlds and blow us out of the water yet again.
The Zelda series seems to have a habit of doing that every so often.

Unfortuantely, they're not going to abandon WW. Nintendo's still
planning a sequel to that game as well.
Still, it's nice to see them making the effort to develop a non ungly
Zelda game.

Apparently, the new GBA Zelda game will be done using the WW environment
as a basis:

"To create The Minish Cap's world, Capcom could have simply used all of
the art from A Link to the Past, since that game is already up and
running on the GBA. Instead, though, it's re-creating in 2D the
fanciful, cartoonlike style used by The Wind Waker, which gives the game
a cool look that's both familiar and unique."

The game looks awsome.

Guess that guy, who many months ago (years?) claimed they were secretly
working on a Zelda with the Spaceworld 2000 graphics, was right all
along. Can't remember his name though but I remember at the time he
attracted quite a little ridicule on this group.
I bet at the time he was just trolling but still, he did end up being
right! :)
