Hi all,

Just ordered a Toshiba 46" 46H83 along with the component cables from
Nintendo.com.

Looks like the only games I have to benefit will be F-Zero, Metroid and
Windwaker.

How far will my jaw drop compared to my current 27" crap tv with AV
inputs?  ;)

You'll have a progressive scanned image, but no increase in
resolution.  The large TV will certainly add to the jaw-drop factor,
but don't expect miracles.  You're not going to get a HDTV image
(it'll be EDTV).

That being said, playing Metroid Prime on my HDTV is amazing, but
mainly because of the television's nice calibrated contrast and
brightness settings, coupled with Dolby Pro-Logic II surround sound.

The games will look really nice.  Try to get a game that supports 16:9.  If
you want some true HDTV games, try an Xbox.  You can find out more about
HDTV gaming over at http://www.hdtvarcade.com
