To whom it may concern,

I just purchased a Nintendo Game Cube and noticed interference in the
display of both of the games I purchased (zelda and metroid).  While
playing either game I see a "ripple" of interference that goes across the
screen in a wave like manner.  The direction of the ripples does not seem
fixed.  I have the game cube hooked up to the TV using the included stereo
AV cable.  I've tried adjusting all of the plugs and cables, and also
unplugging all electronics in my house, thinking the problem was
interference from some outside source.  Please let me know any suggestions
you have as to how to remedy this problem.

Do you have an old N64 video cable?  If so, try hooking it up with that and
see if the interference goes away.  They are compatible with the Gamecube
cables.

Are you using component? Make sure the plugs are firmly planted in the
back of the device.

I had a similar problem when i was setting up the DVD player on my
brother's big screen TV, it turned out the cables were loose.

Is the Gamecube and TV plugged into the same outlet? Is it possable to have
them plygged into seperate outlets?

If a videogame doesn't cause frustration, then it's probably not a very
good game.

Do you have it on a VCR or other tuner?  I run mine through the VCR, and if
I turn the cube off, I get the same on channel 3 on the VCR...reception
bleed-through.

Could be a ground loop with your cable TV setup that is only easily visible
with the Gamecube (but there other times too).
