Nintendo's new low-cost console for China, called the IQue, which
will be called the "Nintendo Compact" outside of China - what the f.ck
is it?

According to a message board, the console will cost about 60 bucks and
games about 10 bucks - many of the games will be N64 ports. The
controller LOOKS like it has N64 controls. same looking analog stick
same looking c-buttens & face buttens. but it looks like a Dreamcast
controller with a flash-card port at the bottem. I kinda like the
look. the color is nice too. :)
but N64? that's what this is - a low-cost N64? There has to be more
to it than that. that's why I ask, what the f.ck is it.
Could this be the new product Nintendo said they would annouce in the
spring? Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. Holy f.ck if it ISN'T, which
means yet ANOTHER new Nintendo hardware. And some said Nintendo would
bow out of the hardware race. bwahahahaha!
IQue, or to us, Nintendo Compact - these names have not yet been
seered into my mind, but I am afraid they will after not too long.
heh.
That plus GBA2 (2004?) and the next console, N5, (2005-2006) make for
a very interesting Nintendo.

Just by looking at the picture It doesn't look like it will be better than
the GBA.
It will prob play games simmilar to NES or SNES graphics.
I might be wrong.
I wouldn't really worry about. It probably won't be released in the US and
it definitely won't be released in the UK.

This thing is intended specifically for China where piracy is rampant.
The flash cards which the games must be downloaded onto (via terminals
in stores) are unique to every system so it's not possible to use a
friend's card in your system.
It's a pretty safe bet it'll never be released outside of China.
I dunno where Cube Europe came up with the "Compact" name. I haven't
seen that mentioned anywhere else and they also messed up a few other
facts. One of the launch games is going to be Super Mario 64 not Super
Mario Bros. for example.

Don't confuse it with the Garmin iQue 3600, a Palm-OS GPS PDA. Two
completely different products with similar names.
