Hi people, I've just opened a new group called NGCFS (Nintendo GameCube
FileSharing) I've setup to enable us GameCube owners to easily exchange and
share our game saves.
It's all a mainly possible to this little baby
http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=78&products_id=2359.
Think about the possibilities this group will be giving us,....
From the exchange of TimeSplitters2 maps to SMS, Metriod Prime, Zelda and so
on and so on!!!....
The group hasn't been officially opened yet but it's already working.
I'll start uploading my own content very soon.

Doesn't gamefaqs already do this?

Sorry, do what?...
As far as I know they don't, but maybe you could post specific link? I would
be very interested!

Go to any other GC game page and there it is, top of the page...

Apologies, thanks for the link.
Even though, they are very limited (at least per game) and I still believe
that the group still has a very good chance of becoming the number one spot
for "Game Saves" exchanging!
Thanks for the interest, but guys can we all be a bit more positive about
this?!....

ROFL

"Hello, noone has heard of me, and I have set up a free yahoo group
thing that does EXACTLY what gamefaqs does and now I am pissed cos you
are telling me there is something already out there that does what I
want to do, for free, and better"

Twat.

It's a sh.t idea, and it's even sh.tter to use Yahoo Poxy Groups.
Dave - 11 Sep 2003 23:28 GMT
Ha, you're funny "mrgoat".
Have you even checked the group out?...
Just to let you know that the group has already over taken the other sites
of it's type! I've already got over 100 more game save than gamefaqs and
even more than anything else (like savethecube)! The group is completely
free.
And as for the Yahoo thing, it's alot faster than coding your own website
and easer.
Plus all the members are very thankful of the project.

You plonker Rodney.

Take it easy, Dave

PS. don't even think of joining the group I've already bared your email
address and anyone else with duffer names (like mrgoat (can f**k a goat, you
sad Muppet))

a) don't top post

> Ha, you're funny "mrgoat".

Yes, I looked, it's sh.t.

Sadly, very few members.  No community, no feeling of ownership.  Just
you wanting to get some saddoes who can't play games to be your new
pals.  Maybe if you went out and talked to people you would have more
success.  You could go down to your local games shops and sit outside
harranging people as they walk  in offering them crisps and sweets if
they will be your friend.

> And as for the Yahoo thing, it's alot faster than coding your own website

You mean you want to set up this new great web area for cheating and you
can't be bothered to spend a few hours designing something yourself?
Not much commitment to the project it is?

And it's alot lamer.  There are a gazillion opensores things that would
do what Yahoo Groups does, but with no ads, totaly editorial control to
you and your own design.  Yahoo groups is like hosting a site on
Geocites.  It's just sh.t and makes you look like a utterly talentless
c.nt.

> Plus all the members are very thankful of the project.

Both of them?

> You plonker Rodney.

Nice one, fatty!  You truly are the Cuss King!

>

Oh Jesus.  Are you 13?  a) I thought it would be utterly obvious I
wasn't interested in joining the group as it's sh.t. b) I have dozens of
email addresses and could easiily join if I wanted to.  Probably better
to ban IP than email, but I doubt you could do that, or know what it
means.  And obviouisly there are loads of anonymisers that would get
accross that.  You can't really do anything to ban me.  Should I join to
prove this point? c) it's quite common practise to not use your real
name on Usenet.  d) How did you filter out 'duffer' names?  Lying twat.

> (like mrgoat (can f**k a goat, you
> sad Muppet))

This makes little sense grammatically, but the use of 'muppet' as a cuss
betrays your lack or originality, cussing skills.  And asterisking out
f.ck, is what the Sun does.  The Guardian prints the word in full as
using asterisks does what exactly?  Make it seem that you aren;t saying
f.ck?  Of course not, so grow up.  If you want to swear at me, that is
fine, but take off your short trousers first.  And be prepared for a
slap.

Silly little boy.

Cool!  I'm probably the only one who's going to say so, though, 'cause I'm
the only other guy with one of those things.  Er...which game saves, etc,
would you like me to upload?  I have plenty.  How about Super Monkey Ball 1
& 2 replays?  :-)

I found that there's really quite alot of people with one of these memory
cards.
You can upload any kind of gamecube gamesaves! Just create a folder in the
files section by the name of the game and upload the the save into it.
Here's to the future.....

I think this is a good idea, I don't have one of these devices yet though.
You might also want to take a look at http://www.savethecube.com/ for more
of the same.

According to Dave <neo_brit@gmx.net>:

What's a game save?  Are you talking about the 'blocks' from a memory card?
How does one get them off the memory card and into a file for uploading?

I presume one would do this in hopes of getting farther along in a game
than one could get on their own?

For games like Animal Crossing, would you be able to make use of game saves
to get new inhabitants, etc.?

Hey, even if you see a file from the game you have, please upload your file
aswell.

begging is a bit sad

if noone wants to upload, its likely no one wants your imitation of
other free existing and proven sites that do the same thing

maybe they trust a site a bit more that actually is designed and hosted
as opposed to a free Yahoo group?

or maybe they don't like your AOLer use of
punctuation?!!!!???!!!??!?!?!??!!!!??!??!

shouldn't you be doing your homework?
