Ebay or nowhere.

eBay..the rare store that has a few in stock they left in the back room
since 1996..the odd collector who bought a few and is selling them off one
by one for massive profit..eBay..eBay..and err..eBay seems to be your best
bet. Be prepared to pay through the nose though, especially if you want the
smaller model 2 system.

$200 is my limit for one

Jesus, dude, I'll sell  you mine, in perfect working
condition for a lot less than that....unless you REALLY
want it brand new.  Unfortunately, FF3 no longer works
because of the battery.  Too bad too, last really good FF
IMHO.

If that doesn't work for you, check google. Google is all knowing. =O

Well, yeah, I know I can open it up and change
the battery.

I went through a battery changing session once for either Zelda or Zelda
2 (can't remember exactly which). It aint a picnic. The battery is
specially connected to the circuit board of the NES game and it's hard
to take out or put a new one in there.

As Leviathan said, it is a pain in the a.s.  Didn't FF3 get
released on the PS1?  Maybe I'll look into that.

Yes. It's in either Final Fantasy Anthology or Final Fantasy Chronicles
as Final Fantasy 6. I have all of them except for the Japanese FF3 which
has never made it to the US.

Final Fantasy Origins has FF1 and FF2
Final Fantasy Chronicals has FF5 and Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy Anthologies has FF4 and FF6

I hope Square makes one with FF3 and Secret of Mana or SoM2

Final Fantasy 2 from Final Fantasy Origins was my least favorite one. I
highly recommend anyone who reads this messege to skip Final Fantasy 2.
It has the worst system ever.

Just to get a new one $200 is crazy, IMAO.  A couple things you could
try, I got my SNES, a Killer Instinct Pak with a perfect box even had
the Killer Cuts CD for $35 at Funco.  Granted, I worked there so I
would always snag the good stuff same way I got my top loader.

A couple of words of advice, while I personally prefer the 2nd version
of the system (smaller and I swear about as light as a couple of
carts) it will NOT display S-Video like the 1st Version does.  I have
never been able to see a big difference between composite and S-Video
with the SNES, unlike my other 32-bit and up consoles.

I still have my SNES, purchased new.  It even has the price tag still
taped to the front.  It says $329.99 (this is Australian dollars).

I got it the first week it was out, or perhaps it was the first day, I
can't quite recall now.  It was definitely the first day I NOTICED it
was out.

The American SNES is ugly, I wouldn't want one new or otherwise.
