How do I do it? The FAQs say use my basic shot, how do I switch back to
that? I've go the plasma, ice, and wave shots. How many hits does it take?

It just takes a lot of hits, I think. Just mash B really, really quickly.

yep..lots of shots with regular plasma/ice/wave beam gun...nothing else.
then wait 2-4 seconds for the door to open and yer done
