Changing Games - Have to turn player off?

hey, its the kids game, not mine..... help out an old man.

do you have to turn the player off each time you change a game or can
you switch cartridges with it still on?

You would have to power-cycle the machine to "reset" it anyway...
besides, it's usually a good idea to power-off when fooling with a
computer system's data bus.

This all means Yes, turn the power off.

Don't worry though, you don't have to take the battery out or anything.
Nintendo might force use to purchase a headphone adapter with the SP, but at
least they don't go to Nokia's extremes.
