If I buy a 64Mb flashcard will I be ok? Are
where any games that I can't use with it?

No.

>Are there any games that I can't use with it?

Yes.  There are quite a few 128Mb games already and you should keep in
mind that the max that Nintendo says the GBA will ever use is 256Mb.
Get yourself a 256Mb card and you'll be guaranteed to run just about
everything.

You could just buy the games instead of "backing them up" you pikey
git.

Thanks, I got a 256Mb cart. :)

I have bought games. I have about 90 or so. I just don't like buying
games that I end up not liking, and then can't take them back unless
I want to exchange it for the same thing. So I try out a game on an
emu (Which is just not the same as the real thing) and if I like it
then I buy it. If not I don't. The reason I'm buying a flashcart is so I
can try games out on a real GBA and see if I like it. Aslo so I don't
have to carry serveral carts around with me. I tend to lose them. I
support roms and emulation, but only for systems that are no longer
being supported.

Well, I ended up buying 256Mb cart. Being able
to play NES games is an added plus. :) I love
my NES but I wish I could carry it around with me.

How much is a 256mb cart?

$107USD at http://mwelectronics.com/

That includes 3-Day USPS shipping.

I had some questions about these flash carts maybe you guys could
help. With gba games or the nes emulator does saving work? And how
about how well it works, does it play gba games perfectly without even
noticing a difference? What about when you play nes games I assume the
screen difference makes it so they dont fit on the entire screen?

Anyone mess around with the pogoshell? It looked pretty interesting on
there website(all tho more a novelty then anything).

I was reading that you could emulate alot of older systems like turbo
grafix and the old sega master system is this true? I am seriously
thinking about getting one of these and I am just not sure which one
to get for the best bang for my buck while still getting the best
quality product. Anyone have some suggestions?

Wanted to add something... Has anyone had any success with the flash
carts being used with the gamecube gameboy player?

Yes. My Flash2Advance 256M works perfectly with the Gameboy Player,
Pogoshell and all.

Ok.
GBA games - play just like a real cart
NES games - yes there is screen "scaling" and yes saves work (if emulator
supports them, PocketNES does)

Pogoshell - not just a pretty face - it compresses your saves so you can
have 40 instead of 4!

Turbografix16 (PCE Advance) tends to be slow but some games are quite
playable

SMS (DRSMS) is a very good emulator that also plays Game Gear games

Also there is a Gameboy emulator (GOOMBA) and a ZX Spectrum emulator (ZX
Advance) and to be released in the near future is a Colecovision emulator
(COG).

See the emuboards below for more info.

F2A (flash2advance) is arguably the best there is at the moment for
emulation. The new Ultra cards won't work with Pogoshell so i'd stick
with the standard F2A 256meg USB personally.

I was thinking about buying:

Flash2Advance Ultra 1G Cartridge with F2A USB linker set

Is this a good idea?  Is there any disadvantages of buying a 1 gig
cartridge...besides the price :-)

As i said earlier the new carts probably won't work with Pogoshell which
is well worth having.

Pogoshell 2.0 is in Beta at the moment though so it may support the new
carts after all.

Personally i don't put commercial gba games on my cart so i don't need
the space but if i did 1Gig would be very handy - typically about 8-16 on
the cart.

The people who co-wrote PocketNES have begun work on a SNES emu now!
It'll be a long time til it's released but it will be great.
