I just got an ez flash advance 256, but I can't install the driver. Once I
install it, it says "Cannot install this hardware there was a problem
installing this hardware: EZF Advance Cable An error occurred during the
installation of the device The system cannot find the file specified" I
tried it many times and it keeps coming up with this error. What do I do?
Please help.
TIA!

Hello AceMilo,
I've never used EZFlash bad had trouble installing a similar product,
XG-Flash. Eventually I had to download the latest version of the software
and drivers and manually copy the drivers to the correct system folder.
If you're trying to install a new device and the system cannot find the
driver you may expect to see the sort of error you're getting. You should
look on their website for device driver problems.
Good luck!

It has been a while since I installed the client program and I'm trying
to remember what I did.
Did you install the client software?
Inside the folder where the client software is installed are two zip
files- drivers for Win98 and Win2000\XP. Did you install one of these? I
unzipped it in the same folder as the EZFA client.
When you plug your GBA into a USB port, you should get a message that it
is looking for drivers. You should look for the drivers manually
(Browse, I think?) in the folder where you unzipped the Win98 or Win2000
\XP drivers too. The file you are looking for is USBSCAN.SYS
You also need to plug it into the same USB port every time you want to
use the client.
Didn't you receive instructions when you got your cart?
