when the screen is open, should the lid be in a very tight position or does
it wobble when you move it? if i shake my gba slightly, i can feel the lid
move back and forth....does this mean it's lose or is that normal?

Okay, John may have been a little paranoid about his new GBA SP, but this is
a good question, (and not only because my GBA SP does it too!!)

Any thoughts????

No, the screen wobble is perfectly normal, in fact it's probably safer than
having a screen that locks into place.  If you drop a GBA SP the screen can
flip closed or fully open, but if Nintendo had chosen to have a screen that
locked in place the locking mechanism would probably break.
