Oh my goodness, the Xbox 360 more than doubled the PS3. LOL is right.
Will they ever outsell the Xbox or the Xbox 360? Nah.......

I can't believe Nintendo is selling so many systems!  There's really no
great games for the Wii yet.  Who's buying them all?  Who's buying all these
DS's?  Hasn't most who wanted one by now already gotten one?    I can't
believe the PS2 is still selling like crazy also.  I guess they have NO
PLANS to buy a PS3 anytime soon.    The 360 is a little low on sales, Need a
Price Drop, looking there and you can see it's CHEAP system's that are
selling.     With a Price Drop and a bunch of great games being released
this year, the 360 should start selling more systems.

The PS3?  Less then Half the system's sold as the 360?  Ouch, that had to
hurt!  Getting beat by the GBA?  WOW, that really has to suck.  The PS2 is
cheap with a lot of great games, why buy a PS3?   How is Sony going to Spin
this one?   With the way the PS2 is selling, I think Sony should have just
waited another year or 2 before releasing the PS3 and get the bugs worked
out of it and better games.   I won't buy one because there's nothing on it
I want to play right now, but not only that, I have a 1080i HDTV so I would
be screwed on a bunch of 720P only games.  What a joke.

I think the Wii is riding the wave of popularity that the PS2 had - IE.
"it's popular, it's hard to find, therefore it MUST be good!  I want
one!"  I know a few people who bought a PS2 just based on the newscoverage
of the shortage.  They weren't video game fans, and after a few months,
they ended up selling their PS2 when they realized they still weren't
video game fans.

Sure, I'd love a 360 at a lower price, but the fact is Microsoft is in the
same position as Sony was with the PS2 when it was crushing the Xbox.
Microsoft *could* drop the price, but doesn't *have to.*  They're
outselling the PS3, and so long as they're happy with their own sale
numbers, there's no reason.  My guess is that we won't see a price drop
until 2008.  Halo3 is going to be big, and will sell consoles at full
price, so, why drop the price?

The only way they would drop the price earlier than that would be if Sony
actually tried a price drop of their own.  However, they're still selling
their console at a $200-300 loss, whereas Microsoft is at least breaking
even, if not making a little money on each sale.  So, Microsoft could
easily match any drop Sony might try to make, but that would only
exaceberate things, as 360 sales would shoot up far higher than anything
Sony could pull off for the foreseeable future.  Sony needs a good "MUST
HAVE" AAA-rated game AND a price drop to start competing with the 360, let
alone the Wii.  Big Little Planet looks good, but is it going to out-do
Halo3?  I don't think so and I'm not even a fan of Halo.

Heh.  One idea that ran through my head was for Sony to kill the PS2.
Take it off the market.  Force PS2-less people to buy a PS3 for PS2
titles.  It sounds rather absurd, but if you think about it, there's
plenty of games for the PS2 that are more compelling than anything that
the PS3 currently offers - especially if the PS3's SW emulator really does
that good of a job upscaling PS2 graphics to near-PS3 levels (or at least
does a decent job anti-aliasing...)
