Boy Arrested For Opening Xmas Gift Early
Mother has kid, 12, nabbed after Nintendo Game Boy is unwrapped

DECEMBER 5--A South Carolina boy, 12, was arrested Sunday morning after
his mother called police to report that he had unwrapped a Christmas
present without her permission. According to a Rock Hill Police
Department report (a copy of which you'll find below), the child opened
a Nintendo Game Boy, though he had been directed not to by family
members. When the boy's mother learned that the $85 gift had been
opened, she called cops, who charged the juvenile with petty larceny.
In an interview with The Herald newspaper, the boy's mother, a
27-year-old single parent, described her son as a disruptive child,
noting that she hoped his arrest would serve as a corrective to
disorderly behavior at school and home.

An even bigger LOL is that woman's name is Nancy Holley. Apparently Robert
P. Holley is a little younger than we thought -- and just couldn't wait for
Christmas!  :)

That's obviously Bullshit, there's no way they would post the police
report, which contains the address of the family on it.

It's a pretty legitimate site that posts police reports all the time.

Police reports are public property. Why not?

It's like when the moronic PoS3tards referred to all video games as Ataris,
then later Nintendos.

Here is the link to the actual page with the story on it, not just the
report.

The Smoking Gun has been known to post unedited police reports before.  They
did edit out the phone numbers.  Arrest reports are common things for this
site.  Take it or leave it.

Ahah thief n0ob. Go to jail young bandit! lol
He's what? 5 years old? The mom could've teached him his lesson by
herself. Police has a LOT more important things to do than fix these
kinds of thing. Parents these days.... tssk tskk tskk

I do, the fact the kid is 12 and the single mother is only 27 shows you
what sort of people thy are. I feel sorry for the child, he never really
stood a chance!

Does it.
Please elucidate on what this tells us about the "sort of people they
are".

It implies the mother is the type of person who was sexually active by
age 15 but did not engage in effective methods of birth control. This
implies idiocy.
She could be a virgin who just adopted the kid this year, or could have
been raped or artificially inseminated at his conception; however, these
scenarios are unlikely.

Or a simple lack of (quality) education, which is much more likely,
much more serious, and much more avoidable.

Its called not being able to discipline your kids. I caught beatings as a
child, and it was only when I did something that I had no right doing. Like
telling lies, and lighting fires. I turned out ok, but nowadays you cant
even look at your kids crooked without someone saying you're abusing them.
If she took a belt to his a.s she'd be locked up for doing the right thing.
Oh well. The world is what you make of it.

She could have just beat his a.s. Nothing wrong with a good ol' earned a.s
whoopin' to set a young punk straight... but oh, you cant do that anymore...
shucks. You better believe if my kids get out of line i will not hesitate to
take a belt to their a.ses. Its the way i was raised and its the way i will
raise my kids. If the gov't dont like it let them take care of those brats.

hehe. I just bought a Sony XBox 3 recently. Great machine.

I take it back, I just caught the kid and his mom on Jimmy Kimmel doing
a live satelite interview about the case.  I only saw the end of it but
they seemed pretty happy about the whole thing and Kimmel gave the kid
the complete series of OZ as a gift.  I guess the gift was not even
wrapped, but in a gift bag, that means it's "fair game" as Jimmy put
it.  The family was black, interpret that anyway you which.

Ow. That reminds me of when I used to do tech support, I'd ask what version
of Windows people had, and they'd say things like "Windows 2000 XP".

Or "Microsoft Word". Or even just "Microsoft" :-D sh.t, if I had a
dollar for every person who said they had Word as there OS...

You're lucky; whenever I asked what version of Windows,
all I often got was just a blank stare ^_^. Ever
asked if they had a color monitor and response was
"Yes, it's green"?

Turns out there's more to the story... as usual...

http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5774586&nav=0RaPXRrw

"Ervin says she had no choice. Her son is out of control. She says it
started in kindergarten when he stole from his teacher's desk. By third
grade suspensions and parent conferences were common. And recently the
6th grader was arrested and kicked out of school for trying to hit a
police officer."

Kids a dumbass, needs a swift kick. Hopefully this will do the trick...

Yes, he's a real perkoff, isn't he.
