Love it!  Online play is cool.  Can't wait for more wifi games.

Be careful, there are a bunch of cheaters out there on the Wi-Fi.  I played
against a guy who was 129 - 0.  He was racing Bowser in the airplane and was
faster than anything I've ever seen.

I've also met some very fast guys, but it's probably me, who's too
slow. But how is it possibe to cheat? What can you do to go faster? You
can't just overclock the DS ;-)

My guess is you're seeing what some have dubbed 'snaking'. Snaking
is using the hop boost on straightaways instead of just on the
turns. Some driver/cart combos make doing this a bit easier (I
think the low drift carts help, but I'm not certain). Many feel
this is exploiting a game mechanic and thus cheating. I _think_
some have seen the NOA folks do it, and I think some of the ghosts
do it as well so whether it's actually cheating or not is really
in the eyes of the beholder.

I don't snake, however. :)

You are probably right. I just think, that some players are very fast
at coming back after being hit by a bomb or falling of a cliff. I
thought, maybe there are some other tricks. Perhaps they have just
unlocked some better karts and drivers, than I have.

I don't snake either. Mainly because I haven't learned how to ;-)  I
often end going of the track instead. But I have learned to use the
boosting effect while sliding round a corner. I'm new to Mario Kart, as
you have guessed. Since snaking is a bit difficult, I try to obstruct
the snaking of other players instead by getting in the way and pushing
them.
