How are others doing in both Marathon & Score mode?  My top score is around
390, pretty sh.t I think.  In marathon mode, I always reach around 4500
yards, having only been past 5000 yards twice.  Very tricky :)

The unlimited shooting stars as Super Mario helps alot, I always aim to get
at least another 60 stars during the invincibility to get me over half way
to the next super star.

Nice scores. Mine aren't quite that good yet:
Score     -  379
Marathon  - 4289
Time      - 2:50:5
Challenge - 3122

I'm getting better at scoring more points on the Baby Mario stage which
is helping a lot, of course.

Whats the deal with the time attack?
I get to 6 minutes and fail every time.

I'm not sure. That mode took me the longest to beat the high score. Getting
a good Yoshi (dark blue or yellow) _really_ helps and make sure Yoshi is
always walking on clouds. The higher the Yoshi the faster he walks, and he
walks faster on clouds as well.

As soon as Luigi comes on the screen I just fire eggs pretty much non-stop
until he escapes. The faster Yoshis can keep up with him while firing eggs
and reloading with fruit. The slower ones lose Luigi when eating fruit
(especially because they need to reload more often) because they're slower.

Hope that helps! Good luck beating it!

Just got a dark blue....

Tried... :)

And failed :( lol...

However, I just got past 6000 yards for the first time! (Got to 6300ish)  I
find during the marathon mode, if it gets real hectic on screen, draw three
or four vertical lines of cloud in front of yoshi to stall him, then you can
take care of "most" of the baddies.

Man, this game is causing me serious issues, its 1:20am here in the UK, I
cant put the damn thing down!  I really want to be in the office before 7
tomorrow...wishful thinking! :) :) :)  Man its just too addictive.

I started playing after posting my previous message. I realized you
shouldn't fire the eggs as quickly as possible because it seemed like if
you hit one of the enemies carrying Luigi they'd be invincible for a
short time after that. You have to get a rhythm going when throwing the
eggs. That way you won't be have to reload as often. After a while I was
able to beat my high score (2:42). I got pretty lucky and was able to
hit the enemies pretty consistently. God knows if I'll ever be able to do
that again! :)

Doh!

That's a good idea. I get frustrated by Marathon Mode because when I lose
I hate going back even to the beginning of the Yoshi stage. I like the Mode
a lot, though.

Ha! I know what you mean. I find it very addictive, too.

Ahh, I didn't realize that. I thought it was open all the time. I just found it the other day.
