GTR, any open wheel cars?

Are there any plans - or perhaps even existing? - open wheel cars to the GTR?
Gradually the new sim (in a few days! :-) has started to feel quite
good, and to tell the truth, I even might like to change from the grand old
GPL to the GTR. But I would not like to leave the great F1 cars of 60's,
especially -65 and -67, behind, and replace them with those "high tech"
street cars... So anyone making the shapes, but especially the physics,
of the F1 cars "before the wings" to the GTR? I hope so... ;-)

They put a teaser out a few months ago that they would
have something for the GPL fans. Not heard anything since.

With all the patch / starforce crap  they've made us go through over
the last couple of iterations I surely hope they meant "stable,
dedicated server not requiring a cd-rom drive and a DX graphics card"
and "reliable online play" when they referred to "something for GPL
fans".

Open wheel would be nice, but they really should get their priorities
straightened out before opening yet another can of worms.

All the best,

uwe

Yep, I  must admit I'm starting to regret even forking out for it. It's
all about sales pitch rather than a good, finished product.

Yes, it's just not good enough for leagues at the moment.  There's times
when I wish I had just stuck to playing F1C mods.  Simbin have made lots of
promises and haven't exactly fulfilled all of them yet which is
disappointing for a group bred from the sim community.

Wait,

you guys talking about GTR?  LOL for a second I thought you were talking
about NSR...  Hmmm  seems there is NOOO way to fix the server, I mean 4
groups have it to mess with, NONE have figured it out?  EA's NSR, the GTR
guys, the Rfactor guys, and one more I forget what it was, seems unable to
make a viable league usable multiplayer parts to the racing, via this 'game
engine'???

Thing is: It's so mindblowingly good in the physics / fun dept. it
seems heartbreakingly wrong that they neglected the online part like
they did.

Who knows, maybe Stephane R. became a "little bernie" and told them to
"cripple the online code". We might come to hear that from them when
GTR2 is out.

cheers, uwe

ps: gtp mod rocks ;-)

GTP is great once you've aquired your rocket science degree in order to
get release 1.1 back to something resembling 1.0. :P

hey you heard that from AutoSimSport! If you're gonna quote us, you'd best
be putting in references, it is a.s Intellectual Copyright Law! No modding
of words without strict permission you hacker! :-)

"hacker" is not a bad word in my book, while "cracker" is. ;-)

The rumor was out on the net half a year ago when GTR first launched,
so it's kind of dangerous for a "news site" taking credit half a year
later. 8-P

BTW nice work by all of you over on a.s, I really enjoy thes
publications.

All the best,
