Might have asked here before when SCC came out but here goes again.
I am still having the JIT Debugger errors with .NET that won't let me into
the SCC Launcher. It's becoming a bigger and bigger issue as now Porsche
Supercup and probably future add-ons have to be started with the launcher.
The problem is: About 80% of the time when I try and start the SCC launcher
I get a <<Common Language Runtime Debugging Services>> message followed by a
<<No debugger found>> message. This has something to do with the JIT
debugging in .NET but I can't figure out what or how to fix it. SCC it's
self runs fine and I can launch it directly with the .exe.
The weird thing is that it does this on about 80% of the boot ups the other
20% of the time the Launcher works fine. If it works on the boot up it will
always work on that boot up. You can start SCC through the launcher, shut it
down, open up other programs, and five hours later you can still start the
launcher no problem. But if it doesn't work on a boot up it will never work
on that boot up.
Some one suggested changing the Machine.config file to read true instead of
false for the JIT Debugging but that didn't help.
One possibility is that when SCC was released and it said it needed .NET
Framework 1.1 I went to Microsoft and downloaded and halfassed installed
.NET Framework 1.1 SDK when I realized I it wasn't the SDK that I needed I
uninstalled it and downloaded and installed .NET Framework 1.1. I've since
uninstalled, redownloaded and reinstalled .NET Framework 1.1 a couple of
times with no difference. However I'm beginning to think that maybe some
part of the SDK lurks around in my HDD causing trouble. Still it's odd
that it sometimes works.
From what I've read and what little I comprehend I don't need the JIT
Debugger. That it's a development tool. As I've stated above I uninstalled
the SDK but are there still registry keys I need to get into to root it out.
Thanks

My magic 8 ball suggested you might just need to bite the bullet and do a
format and re-install. ;)

Sounds like they have an unhandled error in their code and your just seeing
the results of it. If your getting a JIT error then something in the code
has failed.
