Wait you didn't go far enough down the list!!  :)
My very own TEAM SMO(Slo Moving Objects) persevered against all
sorts of online travails.

15 11 44 T Team SRA -31L 169 0 118 Running 0000
16 21 19 SMO -62L 138 0 115 Running 0000
17 18 49 JPR -76L 124 0 112 Retired 0000

I saw Jason Moyer, there further up the leaderboard, but I don't know
which team he was driving with.

(the running notation might be a-bit of a misnomer, by the end we were
crawling)

Team Racingservers

He did a great Job, unfortunatly is partner was on dial up and with only a
couple laps to go he got disconnected bringing the team down in 6th but he
fought back to 4th, that was Patrick Veillette. Great job boys.

Thanks for the ride Eric. =)

Driving with Pat was awesome.  6 hours, no damage, no broken
gearbox/etc, and we were in a very solid third, more than a lap up on
the next team with 20 laps to go when the disco happened.  It sucks
(and I think Pat would have run down the 2nd place car at the end) but
I'm not going to complain about a 4th after a fun day.  We had the
fastest car for most of the last 150 laps but what can  you do.

Sounds like fun!  N2k3, right?  Anybody know if the AI can handle a 6-hour
race?  I may try one sometime...

I tried a 24hr setting...(a whole lotta laps) and sometime in the
night, whilst I was sleeping, it crashed.  I'm assuming you need a fair
amount of memory for the replay and there probably is a setting or two in
the .ini files that need to be changed.
I know the AUssies have already run at least one online 24hr event.
I don't think I would tackle that unless I had a driving team of at least
4 or 5 drivers.  Especially when you consider the non driving drivers can
act as a spotter.  My teammate called my cell phone just as I was exiting
the pitbox after gas and tires.  Well chatting with him was just enough of
a distraction that I busted the speed limit...AND>>>>  I didn't hear my
spotter saying stop and go or drive thru...I motored down pit lane and
since the pit crew stayed still without waving the flag, I GUESSED it was a
drive thru penalty..whew. :)

My problems were self inflicted.  I was working all day and had to rush
home to make my driving time.  So I literally came home, said hi to the
missus and jumped on the computer.  It took me probably half an hour before
I was even comfortable turning laps.  Just Awful.  Later, in my two + hour
stint,I was feeling pretty good about keeping pace with the MARA team, but
now, after the fact, I find they were motoring around with NO THIRD GEAR!
Oh well..  I did equal my fastest practice times but I also lost a lot of
time trying to avoid the top teams.  I think everytime I TRIED to give the
fast guys the inside line, they came blasting down the outside.  At least 3
or 4 times I got rear ended entering turns that way.
I'll get together will my team and turn in a full race report later this
week.

Well Done Dave, and everyone that particpated. Our MARA Team did a great job
as well and we're proud of their top ten finish.

Cheers to All

ROFLMAO, I know, it was the good ole #19 that couldn't make up it's mind which lane to take to get out of way; and then couldn't do it fast enough!  Hey, only 62 laps behind  :)

Wag

Prather wins again...  <yawn>

Yeah, but the ending was incredible.

With about 50 to go John was in a car with no third gear and a minute
behind the leader.  He managed to pass him and pull out a lead of
almost a minute before the end.  Absolutely the best clutch driving
I've ever seen in a sim.

His teammate (Tony LaGrene) did a f.cking great job too.  If they
hadn't lost third gear early in Tony's stint I think they would have
won by a good 5-6 laps.
