The original file from Steve worked fine on my system. I downloaded from my site and got the 'corrupted file' error. Re-uploaded, got the same error. The file on the website was about 200k smaller than it should have been. I deleted a few files from the server, and uploaded again. This time it worked. So, I assume the directory was full, and the FTP program I uploaded with was too freaking STUPID to tell me that...sigh.
